Warmers

Nemco’s warmers and cooker warmers are now listed to NSF/ANSI Standard 4, the “Commercial cooking, rethermalization, and powered hot food holding & transport equipment” standard. Our cooker / warmers have now passed the performance requirements for section 6.3 & are considered “RETHERMALIZATION EQUIPMENT.” To be considered “Rethermalization Equipment”, the equipment must be capable of elevating product temperature from 40°F (4°C) to 165°F (74°C) or greater during a 2 hour period.

In addition, Nemco’s warmers and cooker / warmers also passed the performance requirements for section 6.2 & are considered “Open top hot food holding equipment.” In this section, the equipment must be able to take pre-heated food @ 150°F (65°C) and maintain that temperature at all times during a 2 hour period. If at any time the temperature falls below 150°F, the test is considered a failure. This ensures that the equipment is capable of holding food at a minimum temperature of 140°F (60°C) under intended use conditions.
